Dr. Beeson has appeared on ABC's Good Morning America and has been quoted in such respected national publications as The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Town and Country, Harper's Bazaar, and Cosmopolitan. He serves on the editorial advisory boards of many respected medical publications and is also Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee for the Saturday Evening Post.


A graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine, William H. Beeson, M.D. completed his residency at Indiana University Medical Center in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He then completed a fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is triple board certified – American Board of Otolaryngology, American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.


In practice since 1982, Dr. Beeson had the first facial plastic surgery facility accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). He is a Past President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, a Past President of the Indiana State Medical Association, a Past President of the Indianapolis Medical Society, and a Past  President of the International Society for Cosmetic Laser Surgery.


Awards include the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Indiana University School of Medicine, the President's Award from the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the Scholastic Award from the American Society for Head and Neck Surgery, and the John Clark Leadership Award from the Federation of State Medical Boards.  Dr. Beeson was made a Sagamore Wabash by Gov. O’Bannon  and  named a Distiquished Hoosier by Gov. Danniels.


He is a  Clinical Professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine in the Department of Dermatology and the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, as well as the author of several medical textbooks and numerous medical journal articles. A frequent speaker at Cosmetic Surgery meetings, Dr. Beeson has been asked to lecture throughout the United States, in Europe, Australia, and in Asia.


Research

Dr. Beeson and his staff have received numerous awards and international recognition for their research activities in facial plastic surgery. Dr. Beeson directs clinical research projects at the Institute and serves as a clinical consultant for multiple medical laser, surgical equipment, and pharmaceutical corporations.

Beeson GroupTeaching

Dr. Beeson is a Clinical Professor in both the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Division of Facial Plastic Surgery, and the Department of Dermatology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Beeson has been a Preceptor for the American Academy of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship Program for over 17 years and a Preceptor for the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship Program.  He has lectured on four continents and serves as an editorial advisor to multiple scientific journals.


Publishing

Dr. Beeson has published or contributed to over fifteen medical textbooks and more than twenty medical related journals. He has also produced multiple instructional videotapes for physicians in cosmetic surgery.
